Online event: Learning to trust again

20:00 June 8, 2021

Join Dr Isabelle Hung, clinical psychologist, and Rachel New, dating and relationships coach, for this Divorce Club talk about trust.

“Many of us find it hard to trust after a relationship break-down,” says Isabelle. “We can be suspicious about people on dating sites and unsure of our own responses.” She’ll talk about why we have this reaction and how to overcome it.

Rachel works with people new to dating and will show you how to get dates with genuine daters and how to avoid scams and fake profiles. She’ll talk about how to make dating a fun experience which brings out the best in you.

Both Isabelle and Rachel have been through divorce and had very positive experiences of post-divorce dating.

The Course of Love: a monthly discussion

20:00 June 24, 2021

Do you enjoy reading and chatting about books? Join Dr Isabelle Hung, clinical psychologist, and Rachel New, dating and relationships coach, to discuss the novel The Course of Love by Alain de Botton in our monthly discussion group. This unique book is a case study tracking a couple through the ups and downs of their relationship, revealing the underlying psychological processes involved in their various emotions, decisions, perceptions, misunderstandings, arguments and sex life. We’ll be delving into the psychology of relationships and discussing how we want to do relationships in the future. Each month we’ll discuss a section of the book, of which there are five in total, each about 40 pages long.

“Rachel’s dating workshop is a fun, fabulous and flirty event. She’s a great host, delivering her hard won, smart insights  into the dating scene in a truly  warm and engaging way and always with a twinkle in her eye. Planning and execution were excellent.
